1. Aloe vera
2. Extra virgin olive oil or coconut oil
3. Strainer or cheesecloth
4. Peppermint oil
5. Lavender (optional)
6. Knife
7. Frying pan
8. Tray
9. Blender
10. Spoon
11. Frying pan
12. Gas or stove
13. Storage jar

2 Ways To Make Aloe Vera Oil

Two (2) different methods can be used when making aloe vera oil and they are listed below:

  • Heating method
  • Storage method

The heating method:

This method is the fastest method to make aloe vera oil, follow the steps mentioned below to get started:

1. Rinse your aloe vera to remove sand and dirt that may have stuck to it
2. Cut off the prickly at the edge of your aloe vera plant
3. Put your aloe vera in a tray and chop into smaller pieces
4. Pour the chopped aloe vera into a blender and blend properly
5. Lit your gas or stove and heat your frying pan to dry off excess water
6. Pour in some olive or coconut oil and heat on medium heat
7. When the oil is hot, pour in your blended aloe vera and fry
8. Stir until the aloe vera turns in clumps
9. Once aloe vera turns into clumps, turn off the heat and leave to cool
10. Get your strainer, place it on a bowl and pour in the oil to separate the fried aloe vera from the oil
11. Transfer the oil obtained to a storage jar
12. Drop in some peppermint oil to preserve the oil and also some lavender oil for scent

The storage method:

This method takes a longer time compared to the heating method, it is mainly for people who do not own a blender.

1. Follow the steps mentioned below to go through with it:
2. Cut off the prickly at the edge of your aloe vera plant
3. Use a spoon to scrub out aloe vera gel from the plant
4. Transfer the gel into a jar and pour some olive or coconut oil
5. Then store for 6 to 8 weeks to get the aloe vera nutrients infused into the oil
6. After 8 weeks, pour the mixture into a cheesecloth to aloe vera gel from the oil
7. Drop in some peppermint oil to preserve the oil and also some lavender oil for scent

Congratulations, your aloe vera gel is ready to be used.
