Asides from being a sweet snack, it is also a good source of protein and healthy fat.

Now, everyone might have an idea on how to make a peanut burger but not everyone knows how to make a crunchy peanut burger.

In this article, I will be guiding you on the best way to go about making a crunchy peanut burger.

Ingredients Needed

  • 2 cups of raw groundnut
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 3 spoons of powder milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • Groundnut oil
  • Flavor (vanilla, strawberry, et.t.c) – this is optional.

Kitchen Materials Needed

  • Kettle
  • Sieve or strainer
  • Bowl
  • Frying pan or pot
  • Spoon
  • Gas or stove.

Steps On How To Make Crunchy Peanut Burger At Home

1. Pour some water into your kettle and boil
2. Also pour your raw groundnut into a bowl
3. When the water boils, pour it into the bowl with your raw groundnut
4. Soak the raw groundnut in the hot water for about 15 mins
5. After 15 mins, sieve out the hot water, the water should be in brown colour
6. Then rinse your groundnut with warm water
7. Pour the groundnut into a tray
8. Sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon of salt on the groundnut
9. Leave it to dry (it should dry up in about an hour)
10. Roast the groundnut after it is dry and set it aside
11. Get another bowl and pour in 2 cups of flour
12. Pour in 3 spoons of powder milk
13. Pour in 1 teaspoon of nutmeg
14. Also add a pinch of salt (preferably 1/4 teaspoon), stir and set aside
15. Get another bowl and break in your eggs
16. Add 2 teaspoon of sugar
17. Also add your preferred flavor (this is optional)
18. Now add a little of this mixture into the bowl containing the roasted groundnut
19. Then pour in some flour, milk, nutmeg and salt mixture
20. Continue to repeat step 18 and 19 until the two mixtures are finished
21. Now heat your frying pan on the gas or stove
22. Pour in some vegetable oil and heat for 2 mins on medium heat
23. Pour in your groundnut mixture and fry until it turns brown.
