How to Set Up Tesco Credit Card Direct Debit

Customers authorize merchants or organizations to withdraw funds from their bank accounts using the Direct Debit scheme, which is a popular payment method in the UK.

Setting up direct debit for your Tesco credit card relieves you of the hassle of manually paying each month. You’ll need to be signed up for Online Banking or the mobile app to do this. Once you’ve done that, go through the following steps:

• Click here to visit Tesco online banking platform or visit your Tesco mobile app.

Enter your login credentials to access your account.

• Select the credit card you want to set up direct debit for.

• Locate and click on “Direct debit”, it is positioned at the top right of your screen.

• Choose payment amount.

• Enter the account details you want the direct debit to be paid from and save.

If you receive an email or text message notifying you that your statement is ready before your first direct debit date, you’ll need to make your first payment by bank transfer or debit card instead. For your next monthly statement, your direct debit should be active.
