How to Screenshot on iPhone X

The iPhone X (pronounced “iPhone ten”) is a smartphone designed and produced by Apple Inc. It was announced on September 12, 2017, and released on November 3, 2017.

The iPhone X is notable for being the first iPhone to feature a full-screen OLED display with no home button, and instead, it uses facial recognition technology called Face ID to unlock the device.

The iPhone X has a 5.8-inch Super Retina HD display with a resolution of 1125×2436 pixels. It is powered by Apple’s A11 Bionic chip and features a dual-lens 12-megapixel rear camera system and a 7-megapixel front-facing camera. It is available in two storage capacities: 64GB and 256GB.

To take a screenshot on an iPhone X, follow the instructions outlined below:

1. Locate the buttons: The buttons that you need to press to take a screenshot on an iPhone X are located on the sides of the device. The power button is on the right side, and the volume up button is on the left side.

2. Decide which part of the screen you want to capture: Before taking a screenshot, decide which part of the screen you want to capture. This can be anything from a single app or webpage to your entire home screen.

3. Press the buttons: Once you have decided which part of the screen you want to capture, press the power button and volume up button at the same time. You should hear a sound similar to a camera shutter, and the screen will flash white briefly.

4. View your screenshot: After taking a screenshot, it will be saved to your camera roll. To view it, open the Photos app and navigate to the “Screenshots” album. Your most recent screenshot should be at the top of the list.

5. Edit or share your screenshot: Once you have taken a screenshot, you can edit it or share it with others. To edit a screenshot, simply open it in the Photos app and tap on the “Edit” button in the upper right corner. From there, you can crop, rotate, or add text to your screenshot.

To share a screenshot, tap on the “Share” button in the lower left corner of the screen and select the app or contact that you want to share it with.

Additional Tips

1. Use AssistiveTouch: If you find it difficult to press the power button and volume up button at the same time, you can use the AssistiveTouch feature to take a screenshot. To enable AssistiveTouch, go to the “Settings” app, select “General,” and then select “Accessibility.” Scroll down to the “Interaction” section and toggle on the “AssistiveTouch” option. Once AssistiveTouch is enabled, you can take a screenshot by tapping on the “AssistiveTouch” button, selecting “Device,” and then selecting “Screenshot.”

2. Enable “Auto-Lock”: If your iPhone X’s screen is set to stay on for a long time, it can be difficult to take a screenshot without accidentally pressing other buttons or apps. To avoid this, you can enable the “Auto-Lock” feature. To do this, go to the “Settings” app, select “Display & Brightness,” and then select “Auto-Lock.” From there, you can choose how long your screen should stay on before it automatically locks.

3. Use third-party apps: If you need more advanced screenshot capabilities, such as capturing scrolling screenshots or adding annotations to your screenshots, you can use third-party apps like Tailor or Skitch. These apps can be downloaded from the App Store and offer more advanced features than the built-in screenshot function on your iPhone X.
