How To Change Background Color On Instagram Story

There are different ways to change your IG story background and they are categorized into three (3) which are:

1. Change background to a solid background colour

2. Change background to a background you have previously downloaded on your phone 

3. Change background to a solid background colour and add image

How To Change IG Story Background To A Solid Background Color 

When sharing a post on your Instagram story, Instagram automatically picks a default colour for you, if you want to change it to a solid colour, follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Open Instagram on your phone

2. Tap the “Story” button (the plus sign on your display image) positioned at the top left of your screen

3. Add an image or video from your gallery or turn on your Instagram camera to take the image or video

4. Click the brush icon for highlighting

5. Pick your preferred choice of background colour

6. Slightly tap your screen to see the new background colour

7. Then save

How To Change IG Story Background To A Background You Have Previously Downloaded On Your Phone 

To change your IG story background to any background you have previously downloaded, simply go to your Instagram story section, swipe up to see your camera roll and select the background you have previously downloaded, then save.

How To Change IG Story Background To A Solid Background Colour And Add Image

1. Open Instagram on your phone

2. Tap the “Story” button (the plus sign on your display image) positioned at the top left of your screen

3. Add an image or video from your gallery or turn on your Instagram camera to take the image or video

4. Click the brush icon for highlighting

5. Pick your preferred choice of colour

6. Slightly tap your screen to see the colour you choose

7. Now go to your photos 

8. Click and copy your preferred choice of image

9. Go back to your Instagram stories, locate the pop up positioned at the bottom left of your screen, the pop up will show you the image you copied

10. Then save
