Telecommunication companies are now aware of the fact that not all subscribers know their phone number offhand and for this reason, they devised several means for customers to check their phone number in the split of a second.
MTN, a telecommunication company with the word tag “Everywhere You Go” also created 5 ways for their customers to check their MTN numbers on the go.

USSD Code:
Checking your MTN number with USSD code is one the simplest way to go about it, follow the steps mentioned below:
1. Dial *123# with the MTN sim you want to know its number
2. Select option 1 (Account Info) and send
3. Select option 1 (My Number) and send
Next, you will get a message that says “Y’ello! Your mobile number is 2348168170597”
Now, replace the 234 at the beginning of the number with 0 in a way that it will look like this 08168170597.
Congratulations, your phone number is 08168170597.
Also, note that the phone number in question will be sent to you via SMS.

MyMTN App:
This method is for MTN subscribers that have previously set up their account on the MyMTN mobile application.
Simply log into MyMTN app and locate your 11 digits phone number positioned at the middle top of your screen.
MTN Call Me Back:
This is another way to check your MTN number, it includes a second party. It is done by sending please call me to any other MTN user and when the user gets the message, your phone number will be shown in the sender column.
If you don’t know how to send please call me on MTN, follow the steps mentioned below:
1. Dial *133# with your MTN line
2. You will receive a message that welcomes you to MTN call me back service and request you enter the phone number of the person you want to call you, enter the person’s phone number
3. Next, choose from the available call me back option and send

Phone Call:
Simply recharge the MTN sim you would like to know with airtime and call another person’s number with it, your MTN number will be seen on your caller’s screen when his/her phone is ringing.
Customer Care:
Another way is to call the MTN customer care line on 180, choose the option that enables you to speak with a customer care representative and ask to know your phone number.
