Airtel DataMe2U is a service offered by Airtel, which allows Airtel prepaid subscribers to share their data allowance with other Airtel prepaid subscribers.
This service enables Airtel subscribers to transfer a portion of their data balance to friends, family, or other Airtel users who may have exhausted their data balance or need additional data.
Step 1: Check Eligibility
Before proceeding with the data transfer, ensure that both the sender and receiver Airtel SIM cards are eligible for data transfer. Typically, Airtel allows data transfer between prepaid Airtel SIM cards that are active and have been in use for at least 3 months. Make sure that both SIM cards meet these criteria.
Step 2: Recharge with Data Pack
To transfer data from one Airtel SIM card to another, the sender’s SIM card must have an adequate data balance. If the sender’s SIM card does not have enough data balance, recharge it with a data pack that provides at least 1GB of data. You can recharge your Airtel SIM card with a data pack by visiting the Airtel website, using the Airtel mobile app, or by dialing the USSD code *141# from your Airtel mobile number.

Step 3: Dial USSD Code
Once the sender’s SIM card has sufficient data balance, dial the USSD code to initiate the data transfer process. Dial *312# from the sender’s Airtel SIM card to access the Airtel Data Share service. This service allows you to transfer data from one Airtel SIM card to another.
Step 4: Select Data Share Option
After dialing the USSD code, you will receive a menu with different options. Select the option for data sharing or data transfer. The exact option may vary depending on the Airtel service in your region. For example, you may see options like “Share Data” or “Gift Data”.
Step 5: Enter Receiver’s Number
Next, you will be prompted to enter the phone number of the Airtel SIM card to which you want to transfer the data. Enter the receiver’s Airtel mobile number accurately.
Step 6: Select Data Amount
After entering the receiver’s Airtel mobile number, you will be asked to select the amount of data you want to transfer. Choose the option for 1GB of data. You may also have the option to transfer a different amount of data, depending on the Airtel service in your region.

Step 7: Confirm Data Transfer
Once you have selected the amount of data to transfer, you will be prompted to confirm the data transfer. Review the details of the data transfer, including the amount of data, receiver’s mobile number, and any associated charges (if applicable). If everything is accurate, confirm the data transfer.
Step 8: Complete Data Transfer
After confirming the data transfer, Airtel will process the request, and the 1GB of data will be transferred from the sender’s Airtel SIM card to the receiver’s Airtel SIM card. You will receive a confirmation SMS on both SIM cards indicating the successful completion of the data transfer.
Step 9: Check Data Balance
Once the data transfer is complete, the receiver can check their data balance to confirm that the 1GB of data has been successfully transferred. You can check the data balance by dialing the USSD code *121# from the receiver’s Airtel mobile number or by using the Airtel mobile app.
Step 10: Enjoy Data Usage
With the data transfer completed, the receiver can now enjoy using the transferred 1GB of data for browsing the internet, streaming videos, or any other data usage as per their requirements.
