Cactus Restaurant – Restaurant Review In Lagos

After weeks of surfing the internet for a lovely restaurant to hold my cousin’s dinner birthday celebration with a few friends, we found Cactus restaurant.

Cactus restaurant is a beautiful restaurant situated at 20/24 Ozumba Mbadiwe Road, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.
I must confess, getting to locate the place was a little bit difficult; the restaurant can’t be seen easily by the road. It is in a building (Maroko Bayshore Suite) with a huge black gate, you have to go into the building and drive for about a minute before you can see the restaurant itself.
From the outside, you really can’t see the restaurant; we drove past there about 2 times before Google map finally came to our rescue.

Securing a parking space in the building took about 10 to 15 mins, we had to drive by the roundabout about 5 times before we were finally able to secure a free spot.

On getting down from the vehicle, I saw a really beautiful restaurant in a cozy environment. The restaurant has an automatic glass door (the type of door that opens when you get closer and closes when you’re far from it).

At the door, the security guard had our temperature checked, ensured we put on our nose mask and gave us some hand sanitiser to use.
As we stepped in, a waiter approached us and took us to a table perfect for our number.

Immediately, a waiter was assigned to our table, we were given the menu and we proceed to place our order. The food there is quite affordable – not cheap and not too expensive.
We were 4 in number so we all ordered different kinds of food.

I’ll be dropping the price list of things we bought below:

Things boughtPrice
Boneless fish and chips 7200
French fries 2000
Grilled chicken and jollof rice6800
Chapman2000
Cranberry spritzer2800
Long Island (alcoholic mixed drink, made with vodka, tequila, light rum, triple sec, gin, and a splash of cola)4000

NB: The price mentioned above is for 1 quantity.

The food was very delicious; their boneless fish is the best have had, it had this crispy feeling. The French fries, Jollof rice and Grilled chicken all tasted delicious.

After we finished taking our main meal, we took pictures. They have many lovely spots for pictures, I took a whole lot of pictures.

Then after the pictures came dessert, we had ice cream. The ice cream cost 1000 per scoop, we had 2 scoops each and it tasted so nice.

After my dessert, I took a walk around the restaurant and saw it has an outdoor Lagoon side seating area and also a playground for children.

From my experience at Cactus restaurant, I can say it is a lovely restaurant that caters for different kinds of food from pastries to various mouth-watering dishes. The staffs are very professional and had excellent customer care service, one helped me take a picture.
I forgot to mention they also sing for birthday celebrants.

I recommend the Cactus restaurant to everyone, I’ll love to go back there again and again.
