Is Blackbell Restaurant Worth Visiting?

Are you contemplating whether to visit Blackbell restaurant or try out their food?

Well, if your answer is “Yes”, then it’s a lucky day for you.

Today, I’ll be taking you through my experience at Blackbell restaurant, their food taste and presentation, food price/menu, environment, drink and staff behaviour towards customers.

The other day, I had an engagement at Akin Adeshola, Victoria Island, Lagos.

My engagement was scheduled for 11:30 am and I stay on the mainland.

I had earlier planned to wake up early so I can fix breakfast for myself before leaving home but I didn’t wake up on time so there was no time to fix myself breakfast.

My plan B was to stop by an eatery close to where I was heading so I can grab some food before heading to my destination.

Alas, Lagos traffic showed me “shege”.

I arrived at my destination 4 minutes before the set time of the meeting.

Eventually, the meeting came to an end by 1:04 pm; then it hit me that I haven’t had anything to eat.

I have been craving Ofada rice with Ayanmase stew all week, so I picked up my phone to check for the closest eatery I can get that from.

Then Blackbell restaurant popped up and I went for it.

Blackbell restaurant is a lovely restaurant that caters for various sumptuous meals, ranging from pastries to various mouth-watering dishes. They have three (3) outlets in Lagos;

1. 60a Adeola Odeku St, Victoria Island, Lagos

2. 69 Admiralty Way, Lekki Phase I, Lekki, Lagos

3. Novare-Lekki Mall, Sangotedo, Ajah, Lagos.

Walking into the restaurant, I saw a lovely view, the ambience is very welcoming and charming.

What did they say about first impression again?

I was really wowed by how beautiful and cozy the restaurant is.

Next off, I went to the food section and ordered my Ofada rice and Ayanmase sauce with a cold drink.

My first taste of the food was not so nice, the food was cold.

Don’t get me wrong, the food tasted really sweet and spicy just that it was not hot.

I walked up to the lady that took my order and expressed my dissatisfaction, she was quick to apologize and offered to heat my food in the microwave and I obliged.

In less than 2 minutes, I got back my food and then I proceed to eat.

The food tasted so nice, their Ayanmase sauce/stew tasted really spicy and was rich with a lot of condiments like Pomo, Egg, Fish, Meat intestine (the Yorubas call it ikan inu eran or inu eran), the Ofada rice was also well cooked and my drink was very chilled.

In general, the food tasted very lovely.

Another thing I love about Blackbell restaurant is how affordable or let me even say cheap their food is. I spent a total of N2,500.

1 pack of Ofada rice = N350

1 pack of Ofada sauce or stew (Ayanmase) = N1,500

1 beef = N400

Soft drink (7up) = N250

Total = N2,500

Summary

Their customer service is unmatched, it shows the staff truly cares about customer’s experience by offering to heat my food immediately after I made a complaint.

Do yourself a favour and visit this lovely restaurant in Lagos.

I highly recommend Blackbell restaurant!
